1.CognosTM1 Architecture:

CognosTM1 consists of a 3-Tier Architecture Layout, on the top, there is a Web Client or Web Server and the second tier contains a Web Application Server and also bottom Tier consists of a Data layer. Tier separated by firewalls and communication between tiers occurred due to the SOAP and HTTP protocols.

a)Tier 1 Web Clients:

In this Web Client allowed to access TM1 data and interact with data in any other supported browser and responsible for managing. The gateway is used for encryption and decryption of passwords, authentication on the server to send the request to Cognos BI dispatcher.
