Explain the latest Mule Anypoint connectors?

A connector within Mule is a kind of software that helps to build connections between the Mulesoft flow and other outside resources. These resources may be any content sources like databases or APIs etc. Users have the option to build a new connector using Mule any point connector development kit (DevKit) or using the Anypoint Studio IDE. Moreover, a connector has the access to different web resources using REST, Java SDK, etc. platforms. And mostly the connectors are written in Java advanced versions.

Using Mule Anypoint Connectors Devkit, users can build custom or personalized connectors using tools and interfaces. Moreover, a custom connector in Mule 4 facilitates the integration with SaaS and other on-premise Web services, apps, and sources of data. There are some popular connectors available in the current market are SAP, Amazon, and Salesforce. Moreover, the MuleSoft Anypoint connector provides a universal connection to link with any system, anywhere across.

Here, the SAP connector in this platform allows users to integrate data to and through external sources based on SAP NetWeaver.

The Salesforce connector in the platform allows linking with SOAP-REST-Bulk- APIs along with Streaming API. This process depends upon the user’s operation of configuration. Moreover, it helps to connect with various business apps

Similarly, Amazon connector in Mule allows linking to APIs Amazon S3 that enables the user to interface with Amazon S3.

Using connectors in Mule 4

Generally, there are two sides of Connectors in Mule - Target facing and Mule facing. Here, the Mule-facing side communicates with the target-facing client-side resources. This allows content to move between the Mule Flow and other resources.

The Mule-facing functionality connector includes the Java class, connector attributes, and methods. On the other side, the target-facing of a connector relies on the client technology that allows resource accessing.

The new thing within this platform is its language simplicity and minimized management complexity. This facilitates speeding up the ramping process and makes the delivery of the apps much faster.

Furthermore, Anypoint connectors are reusable links to the Mule runtime engine. This allows us to combine with a Mule app with various third-party APIs, databases, & protocols, etc. Mule 4 provides all the connectivity or linking through connectors only.

The major benefits of using connectors in the Mule application are as follows. :-

It minimizes code complexity that allows us to link the apps of this platform with the target system. This allows even not knowing all details.

Helps the authentication process simply against the target system.

Furthermore, it concludes metadata for the destination system that makes it easy to locate and change data using DataWeave. Also, makes the code maintenance part easier with little changes.

Moreover, it consists of a simplified event and message model where flows are triggered by the Event. This event includes a message & variables related to it. Also, the message consists of a payload and its attributes.

Mule 4 automatically manages data streams for the users. This facilitates data to be simplified in the run time. Furthermore, it simplifies error handling and makes the platform easier to use.

New connectors in Mule 4

There are some new connectors added within the Anypoint connector of Mule 4. Besides, these connectors are extremely useful with MuleSoft. These are as follows:-

Amazon Kinesis Data Streams Connector

It helps to apply streaming/running structure inside AWS that are commonly useful for many reasons. Such as error/anomaly location, real-time analytics, and mobile data capture. Moreover, it helps in gathering, processing, and analyzing real-time flowing data so that users can get timely insights. And they can react immediately towards the latest information. Users can send data at high-speed from thousands of different sources to Amazon sources. Besides, these include S3, RedShift, etc.

Automation Anywhere RPA Bots Connector

RPA or Robotic Process Automation bots are useful to access systems lacking APIs and automation processes. These processes include front/backend manual data entry, BPO or contact center operations, sales, accounting, etc. Automation Anywhere simplifies the business processes on automation more powerfully at any place. In this platform, this connector has a great place.

Azure DataLake Storage Connector

The Azure Data Lake Storage connector integration with other business apps helps to automate the general business operations. The business apps that it can integrate with, are BI apps, or data warehouses. This connector is useful to perform on many analytics use cases such as integrating data from log files, enterprise queues, databases, or social media platform data flows. Thereafter, users can explore and analyze the information with the help of BI tools like Tableau, PBI, etc.

JIRA Connector

The JIRA Connector with this platform helps to manage work easily. The integration of this connector with Saas and several on-premise apps makes the work quicker and easier. Thus, to work on agile software development processes, just connect with this connector. Such as defining test case management.

Bridge Connector

This type of Connector helps in maintaining digital health records such and send and receive patient information. The Bridge Connector offers a complete service integration solution that is designed to solve issues in healthcare.

Glynt.AI Connector

It helps to change the documents into new data flows by capturing key-value pairs from weakly designed programs. Like invoices, lab tests, insurance claims, bank documents, etc.

Oracle HCM Cloud Connector

To share data/information easily, faster, and cost-effectively, the integration of Oracle HCM Cloud Connector with other enterprise-systems is beneficial. The cloud process reduces manual configuration effort and its management. Moreover, the integration with version 4 offers a continuous integration with the (ERW) External Report Webservice.

MongoDB Connector

There is an important update done to the existing connector that fully supports, a cloud database service globally for AWS, Azure, etc. These services are offered by the MongoDB platform. The related use cases of this Connector are- building a single view for the important data, offloading the mainframe, real-time analytics, and customization. This connector is useful with the Mule combination to combine many e-commerce businesses also.

Redox Connector

The Redox Connector for the Mule Anypoint Connector helps to link with the client’s EHR system to any app with the help of Redox data models. This also includes Salesforce Health Cloud. It’s a kind of completely-managed EHR integration solution. Redox speeds up the development and allocation of software solutions with a complete-service combination platform. This facilitates secure and efficient sharing of healthcare data. Using a single link, vast data can be transferred across the growing network of the healthcare industry.

Moreover, the integration of Redox EHR with the platform helps in faster and agile deployment and linking with the Health cloud. The connectivity is also reusable with the help of many health information exchange platforms and related partners. Furthermore, efficiency gains and personal needs minimized with service integration.
